about

my story

I am an independent artist from the UK.

I was not taught art, I merely tried my hand at painting seriously one day and found immense joy in it. From there I could not hold back the need to create more and more, and soon found myself building my first series, “RED”.

This series actually began many years before painting, as I used to enjoy sketching hands. I revisited this subject matter, using my very own as reference material, and the collection quickly grew from there.

Now I am steadily adding new pieces to the mix, within the series and without; ranging from abstract and geometric pieces, to anatomy and animal portraiture.

artistic process

I like to think of art in a very raw, unguided, natural way. I learn as I go, only researching techniques when I find a stumbling block, and then applying it to my work as I see fit.

Art is an organic process, and so I work very hard to avoid cliche and accidental similarities with others’ work. By using my own hands as reference material for my “RED” series, this becomes impossible and I am free to express my imagination unhindered.

All of my works are made by hand, so no piece will ever be the same as another.
